
Meringur is a rural village in north-west Victoria's Millewa region, approximately 25 km south-west of Neds Corner and 35 km east of the South Australian border. Established in the 1920s, it once boasted a population of 449 in 1933, offering amenities like a milk bar, tea rooms, and a general store. Today, the village is home to around 67 residents. A notable attraction is the Millewa Pioneer Forest and Historical Village, an open-air museum showcasing Mallee buildings and artifacts. The local Australian rules football team competes in the Millewa Football League, with recent reformation after a period of recess.
