Established in 1961, McCrae Yacht Club is a family-friendly sailing club situated on a beautiful sandy beach at the southern end of Port Phillip Bay. The club offers generous parking and boat storage facilities, with safe boat launching directly from the beach. Members enjoy a welcoming atmosphere, with canteen and bar services available. The club boasts a modern fleet of rescue powerboats and hosts a variety of sailing training, racing, and social events throughout the year, including state, national, and international championships. The sailing season runs from October to April, featuring junior training on Saturday mornings, sail racing on Saturday afternoons, and training on Sunday mornings. With approximately 600 members, the club regularly hosts racing fleets of over 70 boats on Saturdays. Membership options include sailing and social categories.
