Nestled in a glade of large snowgums at the northern end of Kerries Ridge, Mawson's Hut offers stunning views of Mount Jagungal to the north. Built in 1930 by Herb Mawson and his team, this 7x4 meter hut features two rooms, a woodstore, and an iron roof and walls. Historically maintained by the Exclusive Squirrels Ski Club, it remains a favorite among cross-country skiers. A nearby stream provides water, and the hut is accessible via footpads during summer months.
