Maryborough City Hall, established in 1908, stands as a testament to the city's rich heritage. Designed by Brisbane architects Hall and Dods in American colonial style, the building features locally made Meredith bricks and extensive red cedar interiors. The auditorium boasts a semi-circular barrel-vault ceiling, with classical details adorning the stage and columns, and showcases Maryborough's city emblem—the Crimson Bottlebrush. In 1935, a clock tower, curtain tower, and stage were added, enhancing its architectural grandeur. The hall underwent restoration and refurbishment in the early 1990s, preserving its historical significance. Today, it houses the Maryborough Visitor Information Centre, offering daily guided heritage walking tours and the firing of the time cannon each Thursday on the City Hall Green.
