
Mary Boulton's Pioneer Cottage & Museum, located at 38 Gumma Road, Macksville, NSW 2447, offers a captivating glimpse into the early 19th-century life of Nambucca Valley pioneers. The museum features seven display buildings set amidst beautifully maintained gardens, including a meticulously restored pioneer cottage furnished with period-specific items. Additional exhibits showcase antique utensils, costumes, china, and various memorabilia from the turn of the century. The grounds are available for hire for weddings, naming ceremonies, or outdoor meetings. Managed by dedicated volunteers, the museum is open on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm, with other times available by appointment.
