Martindale Hall Coach House

The Coach House at Martindale Hall, constructed alongside the main mansion in 1880, is a significant heritage building in Mintaro, South Australia. Designed by Adelaide architect Edward John Woods, it features six stalls, two coach stores, a forage room, and a groom's room, all built from local Manoora sandstone and quartzite. The Coach House, like the mansion, boasts classical styling and high-quality detailing, reflecting the opulent lifestyle of the 19th-century pastoral elite. It remains a testament to the successful establishment and ongoing management of the intergenerational pastoral empires created by the Bowman and Mortlock families.
