Nestled at the southern end of Lake Macquarie, Mannering Park Amateur Sailing Club offers a vibrant sailing community. Established in 1969, the club hosts races on Wednesdays and Saturdays, with residents often gathering along the lake to watch the boats sail past. The club has produced sailors who have represented Australia in regattas, winning state and national titles. In the 2002–2003 season, catamarans were introduced to the fleet, enhancing the club's racing diversity. The clubhouse, built by members, provides a panoramic view of the lake and racecourse.
