MacLaurin Hall, located within the University of Sydney's main quadrangle in Camperdown, is a historic Gothic Revival building designed by Edmund Blacket and Walter Liberty Vernon. Completed in 1909, it originally housed the Fisher Library and the Nicholson Museum. After the construction of a new Fisher Library in 1965, the hall was renamed in honor of Sir Henry Normand MacLaurin, Chancellor from 1896 until his death in 1914. Today, MacLaurin Hall serves as a versatile venue for various events, including weddings, corporate gatherings, gala dinners, and cocktail parties. It offers a commercial kitchen, lift access, AV equipment, a dance floor, lectern, and chairs. The hall can accommodate up to 450 guests for cocktail events, 280 for seated dinners, and 300 for conferences.
