The park's highest point, Mount Charlie, rises to 880 meters, offering panoramic views of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. As part of the Wet Tropics of Queensland World Heritage Area, it safeguards critical habitats for endangered species like the southern cassowary. The Wangetti Trail traverses the park, providing a 7.8-kilometer hiking and mountain biking experience through diverse rainforests and along the coastline.
