Loyetea is a rural locality in Tasmania's North-west and west region, approximately 42 kilometers southwest of Ulverstone. Established in 1973, it was formerly known as Milton or Lowana. The name "Loyetea" is believed to be derived from an Aboriginal word meaning "love." The area is characterized by mountainous terrain and is utilized for logging activities. The Blythe River forms its western boundary, and Route B17 (South Riana Road) passes to the north-east, providing access via Loyetea Road. As of the 2021 census, the population was recorded at 20 residents.
