Nestled in Mount Tarampa, Queensland, the Lowood Airfield Circuit was a prominent motorsport venue from 1946 to 1966. Originally a World War II airfield, it hosted significant events like the 1960 Australian Grand Prix, won by Alec Mildren in a Cooper T51. The circuit also featured the Australian Touring Car Championship in 1961 and the Australian Tourist Trophy in 1959 and 1963. After its closure in 1966, the area was subdivided into small farms, with remnants of the circuit's infrastructure still visible today.
