Nestled along Mount Barney Creek, Lower Portals Camping Area offers three secluded sites accessible via a 3.7 km walk-in track from the Lower Portals car park. This moderate to steep hike rewards campers with a pristine environment, ideal for self-sufficient tent camping. Each site accommodates up to six people, providing a total capacity of 18. With no facilities available, visitors must bring all essentials, including drinking water and a fuel stove, as open fires are prohibited.
