Perched on a rocky outcrop overlooking Bass Strait, Low Head Lighthouse has guided mariners since 1833. Constructed of brick, the 19-meter tower emits a triple-flash signal every 30 seconds, visible up to 43 kilometers. Adjacent to the lighthouse, the Marine Education Centre offers interactive displays, including a life-sized crab and a whale tooth, fostering marine conservation awareness. Every Sunday at noon, the historic foghorn sounds, a unique experience for visitors. The site also features the Low Head Pilot Station Maritime Museum, showcasing Tasmania's rich maritime heritage.
