Nestled along the West Tamar Highway, Loira Vines is a boutique vineyard offering a unique Tasmanian experience. The husband-and-wife team cultivates five and a half acres of 20+ year-old grapevines, producing Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Shiraz, Red Frontignac, and Fragola wines. They also craft ciders from Golden Delicious and Pink Lady apples, and brew beer using their own hops. Visitors can enjoy wine and cider tastings at the cellar door, open Friday to Sunday from 11 am to 2:30 pm. Local produce platters are available during these hours; bookings are essential and should be confirmed the day before. For private bookings over 20 people, mid-week openings can be arranged.
