Nestled along the Ross River in Rasmussen, Loam Island Scout Group offers a vibrant environment for youth development. Catering to boys and girls aged 6 to 14, the group operates four sections: Joey Scouts (6:30–7:30 PM Thursdays), Cub Scouts (6:30–8:00 PM Wednesdays), Scouts (6:30–8:30 PM Tuesdays), and Venturer Scouts (6:30–8:30 PM Mondays). As part of the Kennedy Regional Scout Group, they provide a range of activities that foster adventure, friendship, and personal growth. The group is proud to be part of the local "Upper Ross" community, comprising Kelso, Rasmussen, and Condon.
