Livestock Marketing Centre

Established in 1979, the Wagga Wagga Livestock Marketing Centre (LMC) is Australia's premier facility for cattle, sheep, and lamb sales. Its strategic location attracts buyers from New South Wales and Victoria, enhancing competition and ensuring premium prices. Cattle sales occur every Monday, featuring bull sales at 7:00 am, prime cattle sales at 7:30 am, and store and calf sales at 11:00 am. Sheep and lamb sales are held every Thursday, starting at 8:00 am. The LMC's design facilitates efficient stock flow, with open selling pens that showcase livestock effectively. In the 2018/19 financial year, the centre sold over 178,000 cattle and 1.9 million sheep, contributing approximately $32.6 million to the local economy and supporting around 212 jobs.
