Little Pine Lagoon, nestled in Tasmania's Central Highlands, is renowned as one of Australia's premier fly-fishing destinations. This shallow, weedy lagoon boasts a self-sustaining population of brown trout, with most fish weighing between 0.5 and 1.5 kg. Anglers can fish from the shore or by boat, with popular spots including the Road Shore, Untouchables Shore, and Tailers Shore. The lagoon is accessible via the B11 highway, approximately 10 km west of Miena. Camping is available in the Little Pine Lagoon Lakeside Reserve, offering a rustic experience with basic facilities. Please note that camping fees are payable at the self-registration station, and a valid fishing license is required.
