Little Desert National Park

Little Desert National Park, located near Dimboola in Victoria's Wimmera Mallee region, offers a unique arid landscape where diverse plant and animal species thrive on poor soils with minimal water. The park's varied soil types create distinct vegetation zones, supporting a delicate balance of natural forces. Between late winter and early summer, visitors can enjoy comfortable temperatures, abundant blossoms, and wildflowers. Activities include camping along the Wimmera River, bushwalking, birdwatching, and four-wheel driving. The park is home to over 200 bird species, including the rare malleefowl, and features several marked walking tracks ranging from 30 minutes to three days in duration.
