The trail follows a narrow ridge dividing the Kerrepit and Chichester Rivers, passing through unique hanging swamps and forests of towering messmate and Antarctic beech. As you ascend towards the plateau, the landscape transitions to sub-alpine snow gums. The steep climb to Careys Peak lookout rewards hikers with panoramic views of the park.
