Legend Rock, located in Metung, Victoria, is a significant site in Gunaikurnai mythology. Situated in shallow waters of Bancroft Bay, opposite the Metung Yacht Club, this rock formation is central to a tale where fishermen, punished for their greed, were transformed into stone. Originally comprising three rocks, two were destroyed during road construction in the 1960s. The remaining rock is now protected under the Heritage Act of Victoria. Visitors can access Legend Rock via the Metung Marina boardwalk, offering a glimpse into the area's rich cultural heritage.
