Every Saturday at 8:00 am, North Lawson Park hosts a free, friendly 5k event open to all. Participants can walk, jog, run, volunteer, or spectate. The course is a cross-country run on fire trails, starting in North Lawson Park and traversing several out-and-back tracks. Dogs on leashes are welcome, but the track is not suitable for prams. Toilets are located in Wilson Park, approximately 500 meters from the start. Parking is available on St Bernards Drive near the Lawson Swim Centre. After the event, participants gather at the Ben Roberts café in Lawson for a post-run coffee.
