Laura Bay Conservation Park, located on South Australia's Eyre Peninsula, preserves the original vegetation of the western coastline. The sheltered bay features tidal samphire flats and mangroves, offering ideal feeding grounds for migratory sea birds. Established in 1911, the headland's landing site was once bustling with activity as grain was loaded onto ketches. Visitors can enjoy self-sufficient bush camping, with campfires permitted outside the annual Fire Danger Season. Access is via Decres Bay Road or directly from Flinders Highway. Camping fees apply and bookings are required.
