Laura Bay Conservation Park

Laura Bay Conservation Park, situated approximately 20 km southeast of Ceduna, showcases the original vegetation of South Australia's western coastline. The sheltered bay, with its tidal samphire flats and mangroves, provides ideal feeding grounds for sea birds, many of which migrate from the northern hemisphere each year. Established in 1911, the headland features a historic landing site where grain was once loaded onto ketches. Visitors can enjoy self-sufficient bush camping with unpowered sites, suitable for tents, camper trailers, and caravans. Campfires are permitted outside the annual Fire Danger Season. Access is via Decres Bay Road (unsealed) or directly from Flinders Highway. Please note that facilities are minimal, and camping fees apply.
