Established in 1974, Lauderdale Yacht Club is nestled on the picturesque Frederick Henry Bay, just 20 minutes southeast of Hobart. The club offers sailing training for all ages and skill levels, with a fleet that includes Bic O'pen Skiffs, Sabots, Puffin Pacers, and Lasers. Races are held most Sunday afternoons during the warmer months, fostering a friendly and community-oriented atmosphere. The club has a rich history of hosting national and state title events, including the Paper Tiger Catamaran National Championships. Affiliated with Australian Sailing, it provides members opportunities to compete at all levels of the sport.
