Lady Gowrie Thursday Island Child Centre, located at 86 Victoria Parade, Thursday Island, QLD 4875, offers high-quality childcare and kindergarten programs for children from birth until Prep entry age. As part of Lady Gowrie Queensland, a not-for-profit organization with a strong heritage in early childhood education, the centre provides a nurturing environment that promotes emotional well-being and social and cultural awareness. Operating Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 5:45 pm, the centre is closed on weekends. Lady Gowrie Queensland acknowledges the traditional custodians of the lands on which our Kindergarten and childcare services are placed, and pay our respects to the elders, past and present, who have raised children, taught them about the world around them and bestowed on them the gift of culture and language.
