Nestled in the lush rainforests of Far North Queensland, the Kuranda Amphitheatre is a community-run venue that has been hosting live performances since 1980. Located in the village of Kuranda, 27 kilometers northwest of Cairns, it offers a main concert stage with a capacity of 3,500 and an "Understage" for more intimate events. The amphitheatre has welcomed a diverse array of artists, including Midnight Oil, Mumford & Sons, and UB40. Managed by the Kuranda Amphitheatre Society Incorporated, a not-for-profit organization, all revenue supports the maintenance and development of the venue.
