Koriella Station, located in Victoria's Shire of Murrindindi, was a pivotal stop on the Alexandra branch line, which opened in 1890. The station featured an island platform and a goods yard with three tracks, including a goods shed. The line reached its highest elevation at nearby Eglinton Cutting, offering panoramic views of the Cathedral Range. The station was renamed Koriella in 1916, possibly derived from the indigenous word for the Goulburn River. Passenger services ceased on 2 April 1973, and the line closed on 8 November 1978.
