Nestled in the picturesque Koppio Hills, the Koppio Smithy Museum showcases a rich tapestry of South Australia's heritage. The museum's centerpiece is the original 1903 blacksmith shop, complemented by a restored two-bedroom cottage. Visitors can explore 'Glenleigh,' a charming thatched cottage from 1890, and the Koppio one-teacher schoolhouse, which houses a unique collection of early Aboriginal artefacts. Additional exhibits include a 1910 Port Lincoln tailor shop, the Bank of Adelaide building, and the White Flat Post Office, reputedly the state's smallest. Heritage Hall features treasures from the Jericho family, and various display sheds highlight tractors, farm machinery, stationary engines, shearing equipment, grain and hay stories, vehicles, and a print room. Established in 1968, the museum has grown significantly, thanks to dedicated volunteers. It operates Tuesday to Sunday, from 10 am to 4 pm, and is closed on Mondays, Christmas Day, and Good Friday.
