Kiandra heritage precinct

Nestled along the Snowy Mountains Highway in Kosciuszko National Park, Kiandra Heritage Precinct offers a glimpse into Australia's alpine history. Once the birthplace of Australian skiing and the site of a brief gold rush in 1860, Kiandra now features heritage buildings and a walking track that narrate tales from the 1800s and early 1900s. While the buildings remain closed due to fire damage, the area serves as a gateway to the Australian Alps walking track and numerous trails for hiking, cycling, and horse riding.
