The Kennedy Walking Track, located at the southern end of South Mission Beach, offers a picturesque 4-kilometer coastal trail through diverse rainforests, leading to Kennedy Bay. The journey features a boardwalk to Lover's Beach, followed by sections with stairs and rock-hopping. Along the way, hikers can enjoy views of the Family Group of Islands and may encounter wildlife such as cassowaries, wallabies, turtles, dugongs, and dolphins. The trail is suitable for a wide range of walkers, though the latter half is more challenging. Parking is available at the South Mission Beach boat ramp.
