Adjacent to the Visitor Information Centre, the museum features diverse exhibits, including Aboriginal history, boot making, the timber industry, military history, natural history, dairy farming, shipping, historical vehicles, local country music, telecommunications, textiles, silverware, ceramics, glassware, and the Angus McNeil glass negative photography collection. A pioneer cottage, furnished with historical items, offers a glimpse into settler life. The museum welcomes bus groups and provides facilities such as car parking, coach parking, electric vehicle charging points, an enquiry desk, picnic areas, and a gift shop.
