Karratha Lookout

A short but steep walk leads to the top of this Karratha hill, offering a beautiful view of the city and ocean. There are no facilities at the top, but there are areas to park and rocks to sit on to enjoy the view. The road is quite steep; a powerful car is recommended. It's a great place for a heart rate-increasing jog or a romantic lookout over the town at sunset. The lookout is most beautiful in the morning or late in the afternoon. In the summer season, there tend to be many flies, so it's a good idea to bring a fly net. In the wintertime, it's a beautiful place to see all the blooming wildflowers in the region. After the summer rains, the countryside blooms with unique plants. Please take your trash home with you as there are no bins at the top of the Karratha Look Out.
