Established in 1914, the Karoonda Districts Football Club has been a cornerstone of the Mallee community's sporting life. The club's home ground, the Karoonda Recreation Reserve, features a well-maintained oval and clubrooms, offering facilities for both football and netball. In 2023, the club merged with Peake & Districts to join the River Murray Football League, continuing its rich tradition of competitive sport in the region.
