Nestled in Barrington Tops National Park, Junction Pools campground offers a secluded retreat accessible via a 12km 4WD trail from Scone. The campground features five unmarked tent sites, non-flush toilets, and wood barbecues (firewood not provided). Visitors can enjoy mountain biking, swimming, and fishing in the pristine sub-alpine wetlands. The area is home to eastern grey kangaroos, wombats, and swamp wallabies. Access is limited to 4WD vehicles from October 1 to May 31; during other times, it's accessible by a 12km walk or cycle.
