Jervois

Jervois, located on the western bank of the lower Murray River in South Australia, is a charming town known for its picturesque landscapes and close-knit community. The area is predominantly engaged in dairy farming, with lush floodplains and gently rising grounds contributing to its agricultural richness. The town is part of the Rural City of Murray Bridge, situated approximately 99 kilometers southeast of Adelaide and directly across the river from Tailem Bend. A cable ferry connects Jervois to Tailem Bend, facilitating easy access between the two towns. Established in 1927 and named after Governor William Jervois, the town offers a serene environment with a rich history and a strong sense of community.
