Jancourt is a rural locality in western Victoria, approximately 12 km southeast of Cobden. Established in 1845, it was named after a pastoral run and later developed with closer settlement farms and a school in the 1880s. The area is renowned for its dairy farming and grazing activities. Notably, the Jancourt Forest, a significant remnant of the Heytesbury Forest, is located immediately east of the locality. The community is served by a hall and a Country Fire Authority (CFA) facility situated between Jancourt and Jancourt East.
