Jacob's Ladder is a steep, winding road in Ben Lomond National Park, Tasmania, featuring six sharp hairpin turns that ascend to the alpine plateau. This route offers breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape and is renowned for its challenging drive. During the winter months (June to September), snow chains are required for vehicles, and it's advisable to use a four-wheel drive due to icy conditions. The road has a 30 km/h speed limit, and vehicles traveling uphill have the right of way. At the summit, visitors can enjoy panoramic vistas and access to the Ben Lomond Plateau, home to Tasmania's premier alpine ski area.
