Jacksons Lookout, situated in Hepburn Regional Park, offers visitors panoramic views of the Hepburn Mineral Springs Reserve and the surrounding bushland. Accessed via a sturdy staircase from the parking area, the lookout provides a serene spot to relax and enjoy the natural beauty of the area. From here, visitors can embark on the Jacksons Lookout and Golden Springs Walk, a 6.1 km out-and-back trail that takes approximately 1 hour and 42 minutes to complete. This moderately challenging trail is popular for hiking and walking, and dogs are welcome on a leash. Along the way, the trail passes by Sailors Falls and Breakneck Falls, leading to Golden Springs, where visitors can sample the 'curative' waters known for their healing properties. The lookout is also part of the 210 km Goldfields Track, a shared track for walking and mountain biking that runs through the park. Dogs are allowed but must be on a leash. Please note that some walking trails in the park may be closed due to storm damage; it's advisable to check for the latest updates before planning your visit.
