Jacksons Creek

Jacksons Creek, known as 'biik wurrdha' meaning 'land of many' in Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung language, winds through Sunbury, offering a picturesque setting for outdoor activities. The Nook, a scenic waterhole along the creek, features expansive lawns ideal for picnics and relaxation. The area is rich in wildlife, including kangaroos, echidnas, and a population of platypus. Visitors can enjoy a 3 km return walk along the creek, passing through bushland and observing volcanic lava flows in the creek bed. Accessible public toilets, undercover barbeques, seating, and drinking water are available at The Nook. The Nook is a 16-minute walk (1.3 km) from Sunbury Station.
