J P Keenan Lookout

Perched on a hill opposite the Broken Earth Complex, J P Keenan Lookout offers panoramic views of Broken Hill and its mining sites. A short walk or drive from the town center, the lookout features a grassy area with shade and informative boards detailing the town's history. Named after Peter Joseph Keenan, a prominent figure in Broken Hill's labor movement, the site also overlooks the Line of Lode Miners Memorial and the original BHP mining site. It's an ideal spot for photography, especially at sunrise and sunset.
