Nestled along the Snowy River in Kosciuszko National Park, Island Bend Campground offers a serene retreat for campers. With 70 sites suitable for tents, camper trailers, and vehicle-based camping, it provides picnic tables, barbecue facilities, and non-flush toilets. Visitors can enjoy fishing, kayaking, and exploring nearby alpine mountain bike trails. The campground is accessible via Guthega Road, approximately 6 km from the turnoff. While open year-round, winter conditions may require snow chains, and a 4WD is recommended for accessing lower campsites during wet weather. A $6 booking fee applies, with park entry fees also required.
