Iron Pot Creek campground, nestled within Toonumbar National Park, offers a serene retreat among tall flooded gums and shady rainforest trees. The campground features 10 marked, unpowered sites suitable for tents, each equipped with picnic tables and wood barbecues (firewood not provided). Non-flush toilets are available, and visitors are advised to bring their own drinking and cooking water. The pristine creek, accessible via a short walk through a forest of Bangalow palms and buttressed rainforest trees, provides cool, crystal-clear swimming holes. Wildlife such as red-necked pademelons, goannas, carpet pythons, and various bird species are commonly spotted during the day, while nocturnal creatures like frogs, possums, and gliders emerge at night. The campground is accessible by unsealed roads suitable for 2WD vehicles in dry weather; however, conditions can become boggy after rain. Please note that Toonumbar Forest Drive and Coxs Road are closed until late 2025 due to damage from Cyclone Alfred; access to the campground is via Murray Scrub Road. For the most current information on park conditions and any alerts, please refer to the official NSW National Parks website.
