Inverell District Family History Group

The Inverell District Family History Group, established in 1984, is dedicated to researching, collecting, and preserving the rich history of Inverell and its surrounding areas. Their extensive collection includes family histories, newspapers, maps, cemetery indexes, and photographs, all accessible at their Research Centre within the Inverell Shire Public Library. The group offers research services for a modest fee and welcomes new members, providing access to online subscriptions and an extensive research library. Meetings are held quarterly, and guided tours of the Inverell Cemetery and local heritage areas are available upon request.
