Nestled on South Bruny Island, the Inala Jurassic Garden spans five acres, showcasing over 750 plant species from more than 50 families with Gondwanan origins. Established by Dr. Tonia Cochran, the garden is meticulously organized into family groups, illustrating the ancient connections among plants now found across continents like Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, South America, and New Caledonia. Adjacent to the garden, the Nature Museum displays fossils of plants that also grow outside in their living forms, offering a unique glimpse into prehistoric Tasmania. Visitors can embark on guided tours or explore independently, with entry fees supporting conservation efforts.
