Illaroo campground

Nestled within Yuraygir National Park, Illaroo Campground offers 70 beachfront campsites, each just a short stroll from the pristine Illaroo-Sandon Beach. The campground is divided into northern and southern sections, both equipped with marked sites suitable for tents, camper trailers, and caravans. Amenities include picnic tables, barbecue facilities, drinking water, and accessible non-flush toilets. While the beach is unpatrolled and known for strong rip currents, nearby Minnie Water Beach provides a safer swimming environment. The area also features the Angophora Grove walking track, a 1.2 km return trail through bushland adorned with ancient angophora trees. For those interested in water activities, the Wooli River offers excellent canoeing opportunities, and the surrounding waters are renowned for fishing and snorkeling. The nearest towns, Wooli and Grafton, are easily accessible for supplies and additional amenities.
