Idavue Estate, nestled in the Heathcote wine region of Central Victoria, is a family-owned vineyard, winery, and cellar door established in 1999. Owners and winemakers Andy and Sandy Whytcross, along with their family, produce premium, full-bodied Heathcote Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon. Their wines are handcrafted using traditional methods, including hand pruning, hand picking, open fermentation, and basket pressing, then matured in a blend of old and new French Oak barrels. The cellar door offers wine tastings and sales, with operating hours on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Idavue Estate has received numerous accolades, including gold medals at the Heathcote Wine Show for their 2018 Shiraz and 2018 Shiraz/Cabernet blend, and high ratings from Halliday Wine Companion, such as a 94 rating for their 2019 Heathcote Shiraz.
