Nestled in the picturesque Macedon Ranges, Hunter Gatherer Winery & Cellar Door offers a welcoming space to savor handcrafted wines and enjoy lively conversations. Open every weekend from 12 pm to 5 pm, the cellar door is just 10 minutes from Woodend and Kyneton, approximately an hour from Melbourne via the Calder Freeway. The winery is family and dog-friendly, with dogs on leads welcome. Visitors can create their own platters from a selection of locally sourced charcuterie, dips, olives, and crackers. The 70-acre property features 12 acres of vineyard on volcanic soils, producing a range of wines including Sparkling, Pet Nat, Riesling, Chardonnay, Rosé, Pinot Noir, Malbec, Sangiovese, Cabernet, Shiraz, and Sparkling Shiraz. The vineyard is farmed regeneratively, focusing on soil health. For larger groups of 8 or more, it's recommended to call ahead to ensure accommodation. If you can't visit in person, wines are available for online purchase and delivery.
