Nestled in the southern end of Hat Head National Park, Hungry Gate Campground offers a serene retreat with 20 unpowered campsites suitable for tents and camper trailers. Surrounded by sand dunes and lush vegetation, the campground is a 10-minute walk from the beach. Facilities include picnic tables, non-flush toilets, and rubbish bins. Visitors can enjoy birdwatching, with sightings of Brahminy kites and kangaroos grazing nearby. Access is via a 3 km unsealed road, suitable for 2WD vehicles, though a concrete ford may require AWD/4WD during wet conditions.
