Perched atop Queen Elizabeth Drive, Hummock Hill Lookout offers panoramic 360-degree views of Whyalla, the Spencer Gulf, and the Flinders Ranges. This historic site, once the first European settlement and later a World War II gun battery, now features restored gun emplacements and interpretive signage. A one-way sealed road provides access to the summit, where visitors can enjoy a sheltered viewing area and picnic facilities. The lookout is also part of the City Walk Centenary Trail, offering a self-guided journey through Whyalla's rich history.
