Nestled four kilometers southeast of Wingello Village, HQ Camp in Wingello State Forest offers a serene retreat amidst towering radiata pine forests. Accessible via a graded dirt road suitable for 2WD vehicles, the campground provides free camping facilities, including drop toilets. Visitors can enjoy activities such as mountain biking on nearby trails and horse riding. Dogs are permitted, and campfires are allowed when no fire bans are in place. Please note that the campground underwent major renovations and reopened on April 10, 2025.
